Newly Published Children’s Book Author Chris Cochrane to Exhibit Book About Magical Mystery House Helper at Guadalajara International Book Fair 2023

For over 30 years, the Guadalajara International Book Fair (GIBF) has been bringing together publishers from around the world to South America. But rather than just be a major business gathering, the GIBF aims to also foster the rich creativity that is inherent in literature.

Hence, it is as much of a cultural festival as it is a book fair. That’s why for new children’s book authors like Chris Cochrane, it is another exciting opportunity to share their work and achieve a more global audience.

Cochrane is the author of the very witty and colorful story in “The Dinglehopper Blueberry Belly-Button Snooter.” While he’s a salesman by profession, Cochrane has always had a highly active imagination even prior to publishing. This was further enriched by his love for fantasy, science-fiction, and various TV shows. This gave him a very colorful and witty way with creating new words, as he is eager to show in his book!

“The Dinglehopper Blueberry Belly-Button Snooter” focuses on two little girls named Caroline and Olivia. The two sisters share one room where they love to play. Still, they couldn’t help but notice something very strange about the room.

No matter how much they play or how often they forget, the room seems always clean! Someone has been making their beds, putting books back on shelves, and even dusting things off!

Their parents are always too busy to be doing it, so who could it be?

That is when their Dad reveals the secret of a very odd creature sneaking around their house and helping around. It is “the Dinglehopper Blueberry Belly-Button Snooter”!

Yet, with such a silly name, there is no way such a creature could exist. Regardless, the two girls and their Dad decide to find it so that they can thank it for all the help it has given.

By exhibiting “The Dinglehopper Blueberry Belly-Button Snooter” at the Guadalajara International Book Fair, Chris Cochrane hopes the tale of the Dinglehopper becomes a fond childhood memory for many of today’s young readers. Chris Cochrane, an author gifted with an incredibly active imagination, has completed his new book ““The Dinglehopper Blueberry Belly-Button Snooter””: a charming story centered around two young sisters who believe a friendly creature has been doing their chores for them, and set off with their dad to thank him for being such a helpful friend.

Fond of nature, sports, and fantasy and sci-fi movies and TV shows, author Chris Cochrane draws his writing inspiration from the world around him but most especially from his family: his wife Stephanie and their four children. A salesman with a bachelor’s degree in business, Chris writes to entertain and amuse and loves inventing weird and wacky words, phrases, and creatures with which to delight his children. At his wife’s suggestion, he began to write his stories down so that other children could enjoy them too.
