“This is a detailed, unflinching story of abuse and the damage that follows, but also of the mind’s amazing ability to endure and heal.” – BlueInk Review

“Quiet. Fear.” is a gripping and compelling autobiographical novel that allows readers to connect with the author’s survival and healing from sexual, emotional, and physical abuse. The emotions are shown through the eyes of Lilly.

Lilly was born into a loving family. Strong in faith, she played in the fields, woods, and on the river in the rural Midwest. It was a life people dream of, but not for Lilly. Her past and present world was split in two: one with fear, the other with love.

After she gave birth to her son, those two worlds could no longer remain parallel. She found herself with one foot weighted down in the hidden underworld of terror. The other was stuck on a merry-go-round secret. These secrets could kill. She desperately needed to bring back a sense of normalcy, but the throat-grabbing, quiet fear she carried had her imprisoned.

Will she be able to fight the demons that live in her memory? Does she have what it takes to survive her own battlefield?
