Marlo Y. Ettien’s educational self-help book for girls, “I Am a Beautiful Flower: What Every Flowering Girl Should Know,” will be showcased by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 Frankfurt Book Fair. The book trade fair will occur at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, 60327 Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on October 18-22,2023.

The Frankfurt Book Fair is an annual event hosted by Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH. The event is the largest trade fair for books in the world. The book trade fair lasts for five days, in which the first three days are exclusive to professional visitors, and the weekends are open for the general public.

Author’s Biography

Marlo Y. Ettien lives in Georgia. She is a wife, mother of two beautiful children, author, poet, and Navy veteran. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Chatham University.

As a Wiley Author, her work appears in the 2006 Pfeiffer Annual: Training as “Narcissistic Managers: An Impediment to Organizational Development.” She has another work; “Culture of Deception” online at that was published in 2009 by American Chronicle. The “Culture of Deception” article has been used in a Media Ethics class and shared with other university professors. A reference for this article, a Psychologist and Executive Business Coach, has shared the article with his colleagues.

Her premiere novel, “Branches from the Same Tree Whether Broken or Reaching” is well received. Her first book club meeting with Onyx Book Club in Atlanta was for 3.5 hours. In 2018, the book received a five-star rating from “Reader’s Favorite.” Her love for writing started as a young child, who listened to books on record. According to Marlo, words can be both a healing balm and a sword. She enjoys and celebrates words in ways that offer solutions, inspiration, and wonder.

In October 2012, as an author she was overwhelmed by the pleasure of being invited to Smitha Middle School in Powder Springs, Georgia to discuss writing and its impact with approximately 300 English Language Art students. It was a phenomenal success, and the greatest delight was hers to encourage and experience the fearlessness of the students in exchanging ideas.

In 2014, she was a special guest at ONYX Book Club 20^th anniversary celebration (ONYX Day Proclamation) for contributions to literature and society. In 2015, she was Host on 101 Oasis Radio, “Let’s Get Healthy! We are All Works In Progress.”
