Daily Bible Reading Guide by Richard Cathers Shares Wisdom at the San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books 2023
The San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books 2023 had exhibits full of practical guides for a number of different lifestyles. That even includes books for those striving to live a fuller Christian life. In the case of Pastor Richard Cathers, it’s “Seven for Seven,” a helpful, practical and very insightful guide to better Bible reading habits. During the 7th San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books, visitors were able to check out a wide variety of manuals and guides for various lifestyle needs.

One good (if not very prophetic) example was the book “Seven for Seven: Through the Bible in a Year” by Pastor Richard Cathers.
“Seven for Seven” is primarily a Bible reading reflection, study guide, and habit-forming manual. For Cathers, regular Bible reading is one of the core habits for any devout Christian, and there is a practical method to developing this habit.
In fact, the book is actually a compilation of Cathers’ Sunday bulletin articles that he posted for the Cavalry Chapel of Fullerton. Each reflection was born out of the habit that he and his wife faithfully trained themselves in, and they both realized that it could be taught to anyone willing to give it some regular practice.
