Craig A. Candelore’s historical fiction book “The Libyan Amazons & The Conquest of Continents” was displayed by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books, which took place at the University of San Diego, San Diego, CA, last August 19, 2023.

ReadersMagnet aims to help independent and self-published authors gain exposure for their works, expand their audience, and connect with readers, fellow authors, booksellers, and other stakeholders of the publishing industry. Among the exhibited titles at the ReadersMagnet exhibit booth was Craig A. Candelore’s historical non-fiction book, “The Libyan Amazons & The Conquest of Continents.”

The book follows the story of Myrina, Queen of the Libyan Amazons, and her conquests. Myrina, the female version of Alexander the Great, led an army of 33,000 female warriors. She destroyed her enemies with the combined arms of infantry, cavalry, and archery. The Libyan Amazon warriors’ prowess in battle was a small part of their story. Emerging from Western North Africa generations before Carthaginian and Roman occupation, their conquests stretched from the Atlantic deep into Germany and beyond.

Drawing on ancient texts and modern discoveries, author Craig Candelore takes the readers into the world of the Libyan Amazons. He brings them from the rise of the Libyan Amazons to their downfall.

The book is illustrated, keeping the readers engaged as they get to relate themselves to the story of Libyan Amazons in lost history. Because the Libyan Amazons never left records, the author made his way to bring them back through the pages of this book.
