Thomas G. Livernois’ Globe-Spanning Mystery Novel of Corporate Suit-Turned-Secret Agent to Exhibit at the Printers Row Lit Fest 2023

The Printers Row Lit Fest is well known for carrying on Chicago’s literary legacy by giving authors the opportunity to share stories of exciting adventures and creative twists. Such twists are certainly the favorite plot device of mystery author Thomas G. Livernois, who will be exhibiting “Drachman’s Dilemmas,” the first book of his spy thriller series.

“Drachman’s dilemmas is a very well written book. The first few pages were a bit slow. Once I got through that part I loved the book! Being from Michigan I could picture every place Mr. Livernois was referring to and it got me very involved in the book. It is a very quick read. Once it got going I never put it down. His very detailed writing allows the reader to completely picture everything Drachman is experiencing. Great book!” – Kelli Laenen

The Printers Row Lit Fest celebrates Chicago’s part in America’s literary history. It was at Printers Row, where many novels and magazines were printed. And from their pages came weird and wonderful stories that soon defined whole genres in the decades to come.

Today, many authors are set to exhibit at this popular book fair, including mystery author Thomas G. Livernois. Livernois is the author of “Drachman’s Dilemmas,” a spy thriller novel with its own share of creative groundbreaking as well as engaging twists.

The story follows the titular character Frank Drachman, a hardworking and considerably humble engineer. Frank is the head of a very small compliance testing firm that was just lucky enough to affiliate itself with the prestigious General Motors.

Despite that, or perhaps even because of it, Frank lives a fairly uneventful life climbing the corporate ladder in the auto industry. However, all that changes when he comes into conflict with a British drunkard at a bar one night.

The conflict grows into a small vendetta. But just when Frank thought he had brought the feud to a decisive end, the police pay him a visit, telling him someone else has gone further than he had. It is also revealed that the Englishman is not who he seems to be, and now Frank’s involvement drags him into a world where truths could be lies, and there are rules where nobody really plays by.

How would Frank survive this ordeal? Visitors to the Printers Row Lit Fest 2023 will have a chance to find out when “Drachman’s Dilemmas” shows up at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet exhibit. The book event will occur on September 9-10, 2023, at Printers Row Park, South Loop, Chicago, Illinois. Get a copy of Thomas G. Livernois’ book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
