Chris Cochrane, Author of Whimsical Children’s Story About Mysterious House Helper, Scheduled for Book Signing at Printers Row Lit Fest 2023

For decades, the Printers Row area of Chicago was a busy publishing hub and the starting point of many books, newspapers, magazines. Today, that still lives on in events like the Printers Row Lit Fest, where new authors exhibit their work for visiting readers.

Chris Cochrane is one of these recently published writers. His book “The Dinglehopper Blueberry Belly-Button Snooter” is a funny children’s story about a hidden house helper with the strangest name.

A salesman by profession, Cochrane has a highly active imagination with a fondness for fantasy, science-fiction, and comically made-up words. Prior to writing the book, he would always use this talent to amuse his four kids.

But given how funny his story-telling talent was, Cochrane’s wife suggested he try a hand at children’s books so that other kids could enjoy the weirdly wonderful creatures made in his imagination.

“The Dinglehopper Blueberry Belly-Button Snooter” follows the story of two sisters who discover something unusual about their home. Their mother is always busy with chores, and yet they always find their room clean and dust-free, as if someone had been cleaning it in their stead.

When they tell their Dad about it, he reveals a strange truth. There is something cleaning their room: it’s the Dinglehopper Blueberry Button Snooter.

Naturally, the two sisters couldn’t believe such a creature really existed. But when their Dad sounds quite serious about it, the three decide to find this mysterious house helper so they can properly thank it for all its help.

Visitors to the Printers Row Lit Fest 2023 will get a chance to meet Chris Cochrane and get a signed copy of “The Dinglehopper Blueberry Belly-Button Snooter” at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit booth on September 10, 2023 12:30-1:30 pm. Fond of nature, sports, and fantasy and sci-fi movies and TV shows, author Chris Cochrane draws his writing inspiration from the world around him but most especially from his family: his wife Stephanie and their four children. A salesman with a bachelor’s degree in business, Chris writes to entertain and amuse and loves inventing weird and wacky words, phrases, and creatures with which to delight his children. At his wife’s suggestion, he began to write his stories down so that other children could enjoy them too.
