Evelyn Olivia Thomas’ Wise Words on Aging Soon to Exhibit at the Printers Row Lit Fest 2023

At Chicago’s Printers Row Lit Fest, visitors get a sense of connecting with America’s literary history as books exhibit themselves at the place where thousands of novels, magazines, and other publications were launched. Incidentally, such reconnection is similar to the themes of Evelyn Olivia Thomas’ book “Reverend Teacher Talks on Aging,” which will also be exhibiting at the event.

“Embrace the challenge of being mindful, insightful, to hold to what is true, and to live your best life now.”

This year’s Printers Row Lit Fest is expected to feature dozens of new books, from novels of recently published authors to reflections and self-help guides from spiritual thinkers. Evelyn Olivia Thomas belongs to the latter, and she has just arranged an exhibit of her inspirational guide to aging “Reverend Teacher Talks on Aging.”

Thomas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Master’s degree in Social Work. She retired as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker after 40 plus years in healthcare. She taught, coached, and counseled those faced with challenges in health and living.

Evelyn is an ordained UFBL (Universal Foundation for Better Living, Inc) minister. Under the tutelage of the Reverend Doctor Johnnie Coleman, she learned and practiced spiritual principles. Later, she taught classes in the Johnnie Colemon Institute, wrote daily inspirations, and co-authored two books. She has been exploring both academic and spiritual paths in the quest for understanding the influences that impact the way people view aging today.

Writing in a voice she dubs the Reverend Teacher, Evelyn’s “Reverend Teacher Talks on Aging” combines spiritual ideas with psychosocial and cultural factors… It presents aging as an experience that can be designed to one’s specifications so long as one practices proper awareness.

Along with a gentle trip through her own past, Thomas teaches how to use proper self-reflection, meditation, and self-examination to better understand one’s place in the world. For by having that understanding, one can then negotiate more effectively to find their purpose and make experiences like aging healthier and more fulfilling.

Visitors to the Printers Row Lit Fest 2023 can check out Evelyn Olivia Thomas’ “Reverend Teacher Talks on Aging” when it goes on display at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit. The fest is set to take place at the historic Printers Row Park, right around 620 South Dearborn Street, South Loop, Chicago, Illinois, on September 9-10, 2023. Get a copy of the book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
