Passengers vote for LATAM as "South America’s Leading Airline 2023" for their travel experience

The constant renovation of cabins with ergonomic seats that favor comfort, the incorporation of technologies and the new gastronomic proposal, were some of the attributes that motivated passengers to choose LATAM Airlines as the “ South America’s Leading Airline 2023”, for the eighth consecutive year, at the World Travel Awards, a contest also known as the Oscars of the tourism industry.

Another of the qualities that stands out for the winning of this award is the LATAM Play entertainment system with constant updating of exclusive content and the digitization of the customer experience, with an emphasis on self-service technologies inside and outside the airport. In addition, the changes in the in-flight gastronomic proposal, with a courtesy service on domestic routes and a unique recipe program for long-haul flights, which emphasizes the cultural-gastronomic heritage of South America, by emerging female chefs representing regional cuisines on board, for long-haul flights.

To choose the winners, a voting platform is opened for passengers and professionals who know or have experienced the products or services. The winners of the respective categories emerge from this vote, being “airlines” the largest and most massive of the event.

This 2023, the award ceremony took place on the island of Saint Lucia (the Caribbean), during the World Travel Awards Caribbean & The Americas Ceremony 2023 which was attended by Maite Gallastegui Brana, Passenger Service Assistant Manager and Claudia Francisca Moya Seguel, Crew Development Assistant Manager, from LATAM.
