The Printers Row Lit Fest is an annual event that celebrates not only the written word but also Chicago’s publishing and literary legacy. The literary festival is organized by the not-for-profit Near South Planning Board and is the largest outdoor literary showcase in the Midwest, attracting over 100,000 visitors. Author’s Biography

Bill McCracken’s qualifications are based on being a born-again child of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit to write this message. His testimony is the Word of God. Acts 4:13 says: “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled, and they took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus.”

Any born-again child of God, through the Holy Spirit and the Bible, can be with Jesus. Acts 1:2 talks about Jesus: “Until the day He was taken up, after that, He through the Holy Ghost, had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen.” John 14:26, Jesus talking, “But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

McCracken was baptized with the Holy Ghost on November 26, 1983, on Interstate 10 East right past downtown Houston, Texas. God has taught him a lot in the last 37 years through experience, books, tapes, and preaching. It’s amazing what he learned when he looked up a word in a Bible concordance and learned the definition from the Greek dictionary, and then he saw how God teaches it in the Bible and it really wasn’t that difficult.

God never had him go to Bible College or become closely affiliated with any one denomination or church for a reason because He wanted to teach him what He wanted him to know out of the Bible and not a doctrine of some church. Most church doctrine is birthed when a church divides itself from another church, but this book is all about bringing the churches together so that they can all unite by being followers of the Word of God as found in Revelation 19:13 and Christ as found in Acts 11:26 where the term Christians was first used. “Spiritual Warfare Through Christian Unity” explains that Jesus, the Christ, the Word of God; the Son of God is our Lord.

God had to use him to write this book because God needed his testimony, and he didn’t know an apostle from an epistle when he came to God on October 18, 1983, and became His child. It was difficult not being part of a church or denomination, but as you read this book, you will find that it is different from any other book you have ever read on spiritual growth.

He has made a lot of Christian friends along the way and loves to attend “lively” churches with good praise and worship and a positive message. Praying for and ministering to others helped him understand how much God does love him and that He does have a plan and a purpose for his life. God then taught him to minister His love and spiritual warfare in prayer through His Word.
