About the Author

Dr. Glennie Metz received her AAS and registered nurse certificate from the Bronx Community College and earned her BS in nursing at Hunter-Bellevue in New York. She holds an MS and postgraduate certificate from Stony Brook University and New York State certification as a psychiatric and obstetric/gynecologic nurse practitioner. She was granted a Ph.D. in counseling/Theocentric Psychology from LaSalle University. She earned her early Academic diplomas at Public School and Junior High School 159 in Harlem, New York, and Julia Richman High School, where she received certification as a licensed practical Nurse at age sixteen. She completed a two-year course at the Christian Writers Guild as a Christian writer and published her first part of a trilogy titled Womb of the Morning. The second part was entitled Womb of Wisdom: Born to Partner.

Other professional accomplishments include that of clinical instructor at Farmingdale College, associate professor in the School of Nursing and Medicine at Stony Brook University in New York, and three busy private practices as a nurse practitioner in women’s health for more than thirty years. As a Christian psychologist, her active approach, Image Illumination Counseling Services, provides her a venue to assist women in being all that Creator God designs them to be. As a visionary, she took oversight of and became the director of Touching Tomorrow’s World, a bimonthly women’s support group where women support one another during stressful times in their lives.
