Brenntag increases market presence in the USA

Brenntag, leader in the growth market for the distribution of chemicals, announced today the acquisition of 100% of the shares of US distributor Ulrich Chemical, Inc., headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.



Ulrich Chemical offers high quality chemicals and services to many diverse industries, such as Pharmaceuticals, Food and Beverage, Paint and Coatings, Plastics, Municipal Water and Wastewater, Cosmetics and Personal Care via 7 locations in Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois. Founded in 1919, Ulrich Chemicals is an active member of the NACD, the National Association of Chemical Distributors, which is committed to the responsible distribution of chemicals. In fiscal year 2006 the company recorded sales of US$ 83.6 million.
