LaTonya R. Forrest’s “Standing on the Promises of God” Will Be Exhibited at the 2023 Printers Row Lit Fest

LaTonya R. Forrest’s “Standing on the Promises of God” will be displayed by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the Printers Row Lit Fest 2023. The book fair and literary festival will take place at Printers Row Park in South Loop, Chicago, Illinois, on September 9-10, 2023.

Organized by the non-profit Near South Planning Board, the Printers Row Lit Fest is the largest outdoor literary event in the Midwest, attracting more than 100,000 visitors. The community-based festival features book exhibits along Dearborn Street, from Polk Street to the newly renamed Ida B. Wells Drive in Chicago. Aside from the book displays, the Printers Row Lit Fest also features book signings, panel discussions, staged readings, and various other programs for adults, young adults, and children.

The Christian inspirational book “Standing on the Promises of God” provides encouragement for people experiencing serious life challenges. LaTonya does not discriminate as she aims to help every woman, man, boy, or girl struggling with poverty, rejection, separation, isolation, fear, and discouragement. The author uses her writing as a tool to convey her message of encouragement.

The book uses passages from the King James Bible to relate her words of inspiration and encouragement with the Word of God. The passages also serve as resources for further reading in the Bible. The passages will let the readers know more about God’s promise.

Author’s Biography

LaTonya is a single mother of four children. She finds joy in raising her children in the fear of the Lord while raising them to be productive citizens.

LaTonya is a faithful member of an amazing church in Chicago where she serves on various ministries including the choir, praise team, pastoral care, and outreach ministry.

She holds an associate’s degree in general business from Malcolm X College and a bachelor of science degree in technical management with an emphasis in small business management and entrepreneurship from DeVry University. She is also a member of Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society for business management and administration.

LaTonya has a career in public service as a human services caseworker. She has a passion for serving others and encouraging others to walk in their God-given purpose and ultimately reach their destiny.
