Cynthia J. Giachino Will Sign Copies of “Quiet. Fear.” at the 2023 Printers Row Lit Fest

Author Cynthia J. Giachino will sign copies of her book “Quiet. Fear.” at the 2023 Printers Row Lit Fest on September 9, 2023 at 12:30 to 1:30 PM. The book signing event is made possible by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet.

The Printers Row Lit Fest is the largest free outdoor literary showcase in the Midwest, drawing more than 100,000 book lovers to the two-day showcase. The event attracts more than 200 booksellers from across the country and features book signings, panel discussions, staged readings, and various other programs for adults, young adults, and children.

“Quiet. Fear.” expresses the thoughts, experiences, and feelings of the author through the protagonist, Lilly. Lilly dealt with her survival and healing from sexual, emotional, and physical abuse. Lilly takes the readers on an unforgettable journey of twists and turns. Her past and present worlds were split in two… one of fear and one of love. After giving birth to a son, these worlds could no longer remain parallel. She found herself with one foot weighted down in the hidden underworld of terror. The other was stuck on a merry-go-round of secrets, lethal secrets. With this, she desperately needed to bring back a sense of normalcy, but the throat-grabbing, quiet fear she carried, had her imprisoned.

Author’s Biography

For over 30 years, Cynthia J Giachino dedicated her life to teaching children and young teens. She graduated from college with two majors in education and a minor in psychology. She was born and raised in Northern Michigan, known as the Upper Peninsula. Upon retirement and encouraged by a friendship, she began her life-long goal of writing a book, to share and show her personal experiences of childhood trauma and its long-term emotional effects. She looks forward to building a bigger voice for sexual assault and its trauma.
