Sheron Chambers Jefferson’s Life Journey from Easy Brokenness to Firm Faithfulness Heads Off to Global Book Exhibits

Sheron Chambers Jefferson is a licensed addiction specialist counselor who came from the same background as the many struggling young people she strives to help. And in her new book “Thorns on the Rose,” she talks about how her strength could not have been possible without her encounter with Jesus.

This book brought both discomfort and motivation. The discomfort came reading the raw truth of my sister’s life which I have been witness to. The motivation comes from the same raw truth I’ve seen her overcome through trusting in the LORD. Yes, I’m biased, Sheron is my big sister but I challenge anyone to read the first chapter of this book and not be overcome with anticipation to keep reading the next.

In her local community, Sheron Chambers Jefferson is a tireless counselor for those recovering from drug addiction. Therefore, it might be a little hard to imagine that she was once among the most damaged, troubled individuals whose very sense of being was dictated by the streets.

Such was her true story, though, as detailed in her book and faith testimony “Thorns on the Rose: Transformed by the Experiential Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.” This year, she has arranged to have this book featured at a number of major book fairs happening across America.

Born and raised in a family of six siblings by a single mother, Jefferson seemed doomed to a life on the streets from the very outset. She had grown up trying to identify her biological father and never succeeding. The resulting lack of self-identity led to emptiness, which, in turn, led to the wrong crowd.

From there, she grappled with addictions and vices that consumed eighteen years of her life. But when she finally hit bottom and realized she had three innocent babies who could be condemned to suffer with her emptiness, she turned to God.

“Thorns on the Rose” serves as her written witness about the miracle of how her newfound faith transformed her. It also is her personal testament about the existence of generational curses and how God had freed her from such bondage.

There is a chance that regular book fair goers will get a glimpse of Sheron Chambers Jefferson’s “Thorns on the Rose: Transformed by the Experiential Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ” real soon. For those who want a copy of the book, they could order online Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
