Author’s Biography

Leonard, now is a resident of Annapolis, grew up as the son sharecropper and well digger. His interest in poetry began when he found himself without any immediate means of support due to the unexpected shutdown of a government sponsored program. He found expressive writing to be the creative and sustaining outlet he needed to remain positive and to pull together the remaining pieces of his life.

Leonard’s greatest hope is to inspire and encourage others through his writings. He understand that the forces of evil destroy hope and make it very easy to give up and give in. His poetry is designed to provide insight to help resolve otherwise hopeless situations and offer thoughtful alternatives to destructive behavior.

Leonard writes daily and credits God for his inspiration and creative gifts. Much of his wisdom has a biblical base. He sees himself only as a messenger, whose assignment is to share peace, strength, and wisdom to a world that too often appears hopeless.
