Kenichiro Suzuki Elected as a Global Governing Trustee of ULI

Kenichiro (Ken) Suzuki has been elected to serve as a Global Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), commencing on July 1.

The Global Governing Trustees hold a pivotal role as the high-level leadership group of ULI, responsible for representing and voicing the interests of the extensive and diverse membership in critical matters related to ULI’s mission execution. This includes tasks such as electing the Global Chairman, the Global Board of Directors, Life Trustees, the ULI Foundation Board of Directors, and the Foundation Chairman. Their responsibilities extend to shaping ULI’s overarching direction and agenda, offering intellectual capital to the organization, and fostering dynamic connections to organizational issues and initiatives.

Ken serves as SOM’s Japan Business Leader to expand our footprint in Japan. Leveraging his experience in the Japanese AEC industry prior to joining SOM, and over a decade of experience garnered from a diverse range of projects at our San Francisco office, he will continue to act as a local point of contact and shepherd our growing body of work. His appointment at ULI represents a significant recognition of his leadership within the real estate and land use industry, where he will primarily serve in the Asia Pacific region.
