Touching Alphabetic Anthology by Jim Reuther Set to Exhibit at the Printers Row Lit Fest 2023

At the annual Printers Row Lit Fest, authors from across America will be exhibiting books at a place where many books before them got their first run. For Jim Reuther, it is yet another opportunity to share the stories that were prompted by the passing of his wife. Written in a unique alphabetical order, “Gunky’s Adventures” shares some of the most incredible experiences of his well-lived life.

“In this book is a life-hearted collection of anecdotes that share the most tender moments in a life wonderfully lived.”

Every year, the Printers Row Lit Fest offers authors the opportunity to share their stories at a historic place in Chicago where countless books were printed and sold. It’s certainly another great opportunity for a retired professor-turned-writer Jim Reuther. However, despite his considerable scientific knowledge (a B.A., Ph.D., and then some), his book comes from a more emotional and personal place. He hopes that it will inspire many who would browse his book at the event.

His book “Gunky’s Adventures: In the Land of Must Believe” was inspired by one of the saddest moments of Reuther’s life when his wife passed away. Despite the loss, his wife had actually left him a most touching letter that encouraged him to finally pursue his passion for writing.

“Gunky’s Adventures” is a collection of Reuther’s most memorable personal experiences (with Gunky actually being one of his popular nicknames). The stories include the day he met the love of his life, the birth of his children, and some very notable turning points in his budding science career.

Some of these stories, however, are also significant in a historical sense. Several of them show his family’s direct proximity to a lot of cultural and societal shifts in America, and his words paint a vivid picture of someone who was right there as it all happened.

Readers can learn more about Jim Reuther’s incredible accounts when “Gunky’s Adventures: In the Land of Must Believe” goes on display at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet exhibit at the Printers Row Lit Fest 2023. The book fair and literary festival will occur at Printers Row Park in South Loop, Chicago, Illinois, on September 9-10, 2023. Get the book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
