“Spirit Realm” is a biblical fiction story that offers the readers archangel Michael’s perspective of the war with Satan. Michael recalls the events while he, Gabriel, and the host of heaven witness the crucifixion and await the third day. It follows the biblical account from creation to Pentecost, telling of the spiritual warfare with the satanic kingdom as Satan works with the forces of Hell to stop the rise of the seed of the woman, who is prophesied will crush his head.

At the end of each chapter are passages that refer to the stories in the Bible. The book, though written for middle school and high school readers, has been enjoyed by young and old alike. It aims to make the Bible truth of the Jesus story entertaining and engaging. Author’s Biography

Cynthia June Allen Thomas (Cindy), raised four children as a single mom and is currently blessed with nine grandchildren. She went to college while raising her family and is now a clinical social worker in private practice and an ordained minister with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. She is also president of Freedom Rains Ministries, which is a family-founded nonprofit that endeavors to encourage people to love God, love others and as we go through life to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Cindy enjoys spending time with family, sitting by a lake or the ocean reading and listening to the sounds of nature, swimming, kayaking, laughing, studying and teaching about Jesus through songs, the arts, sermons and writings.

Cindy’s eyes were opened to the “spirit realm” of life long before she wrote this book. Due to a set of unhappy circumstances when she was 18 years old, she was hunting for the meaning of life and death. A pastor from a mainstream denominational church introduced her family to the occult world and she gave herself over to searching out the “spirit realm” of existence and found she was very sensitive and responsive to it. Including the Bible in her exploration, she found it hard to read and it didn’t seem to make sense to her. Even though she had bowed so many times to the ways of God’s enemy, God heard her heart and saw the authenticity of her search for the meaning of life. In April 1982 when she was 25 years old, Jesus revealed Himself to her in a dramatic way and she was born again and has been “sold out to Jesus!” ever since. With God’s Holy Spirit inside her from the new birth, she went back to the Bible to read it again and found the stories practically exploded off the page to the point she could hardly believe she’d ever read this book before! She couldn’t get enough of reading it now as she was thirsty to learn about her new found love to know Jesus.

Because of her past experiences, Cindy has no doubt at all that there is a “spirit realm” and that there is an ancient war going on between the Lord God of creation and the fallen angel, Satan with his demons. In this book, she endeavors to follow the historical, scriptural path that unfolds the drama of the ages from the relational break at the fall in the Garden of Eden through the story of the fight to reestablish the connection of humanity to their creator, and how it all might have been seen through eternity’s view, in the “Spirit Realm.”
