Lynda Drake to Sign Copies of Her Informative Book “The Power of Imperfect Parents” at the 2023 Printers Row Lit Fest

Lynda Drake will sign copies of her book “The Power of Imperfect Parents: Practical tools to parent your child with disabilities” on September 9th from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the 2023 Printers Row Lit Fest. The book signing event is made possible by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet.

Now in its 38th year, the Printers Row Lit Fest is the largest outdoor literary event in the Midwest, drawing over 100,000 visitors. The book fair and literary festival, which will occur on September 9-10, 2023, at Printers Row Park in South Loop, Chicago, Illinois, will feature book displays, book signings, panel discussions, staged readings, and various other programs for adults, young adults, and children.

“The Power of Imperfect Parents”, is a toolkit for parents of children with disabilities, and others, to teach kids about money, food, dealing with disappointment and failure, and extreme behaviors. Lynda Drake and her late husband have three children. They are all amazing people with labels like Down syndrome, anxiety, mood disorder, dyslexia, ADD, severe allergies, diabetes, and autism. She has dealt with a child with extreme behaviors, many requiring police involvement to get under control. She worked at Bayaud Enterprises for 16 years, assisting individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing homelessness, to find employment and the tools necessary to create success in their lives. She has learned the value of our challenges, accepting what is happening, releasing stress, remembering to laugh, and most importantly, loving through it all. Her book, “The Power of Imperfect Parents,” results from that journey.
