Deeply Reflective Work of Historical Fiction by Rev. Michael H. Lavery Gets Displayed at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2023
Rev. Michael H. Lavery is a man dedicated to his faith, but he also has a fondness for ancient Roman history, philosophy, and the lesser-known facts about its spirituality. It was also his father who secretly passed on his misgivings about the so-called supremacy of the Empire, leaving him with burning questions about the whole point of its conquests. If Rome was truly destined to rule the world, then why was there such constant recourse to violence and oppression?
Yet one day, a mysterious reassignment sets Lucius on the path to a truth that could both answer his burning questions and put his loyalty to the Empire to the ultimate test.
