Author
Dr. Bob Griffin and his wife, Connie, have served in ministry for over fifty years. Their first full-time calling came after Bob graduated from Denver Seminary. It was to a 10,000-member congregation in southern California. Bob became the pastor for college and career-minded young adults. There were 600 people involved. The Griffins have traveled abroad to 19 countries, encouraging pastors, leaders, and missionaries. Bob has served in various ministries, including youth, counseling and mentoring, leading worship, and for nine years, as the campus pastor at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.

In 1997, they founded Rockford Renewal Ministries, committed to the historic revival of the church and citywide transformation, the subject of Bob’s doctorate from Trinity University in Deerfield, Illinois. They facilitated widespread prayer gatherings across the region until 2012. The largest gatherings ranged from 1,500 to over 2,000, with the regional church in prayer, including clergy and Christian civic leaders. Bob served Stateline Youth for Christ as Executive Director for three years and returned to lead RRM in 2015.

Bob loves to tell his personal story of God’s grace, from being born into a dysfunctional, alcoholic, abusive home, basically fatherless, to a wonderful encounter with God at age 12 and the care of two “fathers” who believed in him and set him on a course of following and serving Jesus. The Griffins have three married children and eight grandchildren.
