Martijn Snoep Appointed to the Van Gogh Museum Supervisory Board

Snoep has been the Chair of the Board of the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) since 1 September 2018. He studied Law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Prior to his appointment at the ACM, Snoep spent 28 years at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. He currently holds a number of other positions, including as Vice Chair of the Concertgebouworkest.

Jacobina Brinkman, Chair of the Supervisory Board, is delighted with Snoep’s appointment. ‘I am very pleased that Martijn is joining our Supervisory Board, and look forward to working with him. His expertise and background make him an excellent addition to the Board, and following his appointment, the Board is back at full strength’.

Snoep joins the Supervisory Board in the year that the Van Gogh Museum celebrates its 50th anniversary, with a range of special activities and a singular exhibition programme. The exhibition Van Gogh in Auvers. His Final Months – a unique collaboration with the Musée d’Orsay in Paris – is currently on display. And on 13 October, the exhibition Van Gogh Along the Seine opens at the Van Gogh Museum.
