Ed Grover’s Christian Reflections from Ranch Life Soon to Hit Global Book Exhibits

Ed Grover sees himself as a humble rancher striving to be a faithful Christian in a world with many perspectives prioritizing the wrong things. But for a long time, he has put his thoughts to paper and has recently decided to publish his writings in “Life’s Ponderous Adventure: Musings of an Old Rancher.”

The book is currently being featured in exhibits at several book events scheduled around the world. But rather than just musings of a religious man on a farm, “Life’s Ponderous Adventure” shows Grover attentive to the most recent advances in science, technology, and ecology.

He refers to many of these achievements (along with some small discoveries) in his reflections. At the same time, however, he sees a lot of progress coming with its share of downsides. It ranges from the challenges of social justice present in the poorest parts of the world and the increasing environmental degradation that threatens the planet’s sustainability.

Another surprising take by Grover is where he pins the blame for these problems. Whereas other Christian writers turn to the supernatural conspiracies of Satan, demons, and secret cults, he sees the root of selfish human sins. For Grover, the only remedy for such sins is focusing back on Jesus and His love for humanity.

Ed has walked a long and crooked life’s pathway, from being born to loving Christian parents and several siblings, in a very small Oklahoma town and the world just recovering from the “dirty thirtys.” Ed says: “The greatest truth I’ve found is God. Ed’s writing style stems from a common saying: “Everything I need to know, I learned in Kindergarten.” Though he came before kindergarten was a thing, the home of his upbringing was a fountain of such basic knowledge. Also, Ed is convinced that during our fetal development, God instills within our mind and soul many of His truths, expressed to our mind by our conscience, if we pay attention. Ed says: “My lifelong friend, lover, and spouse, Carole, is my inspiration. Carole blessed our lives with three children. Besides nurturing all of us, she devoted fifty years to her passion as an early childhood public school teacher. Her influence and oversight of my writings is most evident and her loving care molded the inner person I am today.”
