Jacqueline King’s Book That Shares Voices of Christian Youth Soon to Exhibit at Printers Row Lit Fest 2023

There have been many stories that had been published and circulated from Chicago’s Printers Row. That’s why the Printers Row Lit Fest was established to continue that mission and vision, offering today’s new publishers and authors a chance to reach reading audiences from the same historic location. Jacqueline King is a Christian writer who will also be taking that opportunity with her new book, “From the Mouth of Babes.”

The book is a compilation of stories written by Christian youth. In it, readers will find that young Christians are still like other people. They are searching for answers and their own identity. They feel weighed down by the messages all around them, be it society, media, and the cultures outside their faith.

Every chapter is filled with writings from young Christians struggling to understand the meaning of love, overcoming fear, and dealing with the rest of the world.

King assembled all these testimonies from her many years of service as a youth leader in her local church. She has certifications in youth counseling and crisis management. She has also served in youth outreach programs like the Boston Ten Point Coalition, New England Home for Little Wanderers, and the Department of Youth Services.

Author Bio

Jacqueline King was born in Antigua, West Indies. She migrated to Montserrat at an early age, where she lived for about fifteen years before moving to the United States. Jacqueline has always been an Avid reader, and it was out of her love for reading that she developed a passion for writing. While attending Grade School in the Caribbean, she was known for writing excellent compositions, which were often displayed in her classroom for other students to read. Throughout the years she has written short stories for Sunday Lessons, as well as poems; all of which she kept but never published. “From the Mouth of Babes” would be her first publication, but certainly not her last.

Jacqueline is also a wife, a mother and grandmother. She resides in Florida with her husband Cedric King. Jacqueline holds Degrees Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, and Christian Counseling. She is a life-long learner who is always seeking the next opportunity. Jacqueline has served her local church for years as Youth Minister and Mentor, she has volunteered in her community as Guardian ad Litem FL, Big Sister, Little Sister Program, Department of Youth Services, MA; Boston Ten Point Coalition, and New England Home for Little Wanderers. Jacqueline also holds certification in Crisis Management and Youth Counseling.

In her spare time, she enjoys long walks, as well as gardening. She is passionate about young people and believe that God has called her to serve in that area. She accepts the call gracefully.
