The book by Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets, “on that Day”: A Trilogy, will have its display shelf at the 2023 Hong Kong Book Fair, which will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, on July 19-22, 2023.

The Hong Kong Book Fair is a grand summer event in Hong Kong. It is one of the largest book fairs in Asia. The book fair features book exhibits, live entertainment, workshops, storytelling, author panel sessions, and more.

“on that Day” is a trilogy that talks about the Faith of the First-Century Church. It consists of three books with a common theme: 1.) The Death of The Promise, 2.) The Resurrection of The Promise, and 3.) The Land of The Promise.

The trilogy shares the foundation of the mature Christian found in Hebrews Chapter 6: Faith in God and two promises, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. The book also focuses on the passages that deal with faith and brings them together in a unique way: God’s creation of the human race and the requirement of obedience to His Word – Paradise Lost; the appearance of Melchizedek to Abraham as God’s high priest; and finding Daniel, the fourth man in the fire – The Son of God. Two elements are brought together in Jesus’ first coming: He is the high priest and the Son of God.

This book aims to restore the relationship with God that was lost because of disobedience. Obedience is the golden rule for understanding spirituality. This book also tells the story of Paul, who brings faith and obedience together.

Author’s Biography

Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets is a seventy-six-year-old semi-retired businessman who, while never attending college, has had a reasonably successful career. He is now living at Providence Farm in Bedford County, Virginia, and presently has a beef cattle operation, raising calves for the feeder market.

During discussions with a friend, a retired pastor, and a marine chaplain who has decided that he is “done with the church,” Tom was challenged to write a book. His friend understood his ongoing frustration with both the message and direction of the established church and felt that many others shared this frustration.

Tom, who has a heart for the lost within the church, believes that the church has been hijacked by the instant-gratification crowd. Thus, he felt that he was challenged to address this issue, and as a result of this challenge, The Road to Restoration, The Death of the Promise, and the Resurrection of The Promised
were developed.
