Ace Capital Adopts Bloomberg Vault

BVault helps companies capture, archive and monitor their electronic communications

Bloomberg today announced that Ace Capital, a Brazilian investment fund manager, has selected Bloomberg Vault to help it archive and monitor its electronic communications.

BVault can capture all relevant messages from Bloomberg Messages (MSG) and Instant Bloomberg (IB) as well as corporate email, social media and chat platforms. Data may be obtained from Bloomberg’s Trade Order Management System (TOMS) and Bloomberg’s Asset and Investment Manager (AIM), as well as third-party order management systems.

BVault can collect voice data from traditional phone systems, cell phones, towers and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) throughout the trade lifecycle in real time or on a historical basis. Many companies use BVault to perform internal monitoring activities to keep pace with rapidly growing data volumes.

“Bloomberg’s solution has made our compliance monitoring processes more robust, which reflects in greater confidence from our business partners and investors”, says José Mazzoni, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ace Capital. “The configuration allows us to create custom alerts and language rules in compliance with internal policies,” adds Mazzoni.

The Ace compliance area is responsible for constantly making sure that the company is following all internal and external laws, set out in a document shared with all employees. Mazzoni explains that Bloomberg’s tool assists in the implementation of the manager’s internal control procedures. According to him, BVault monitors chats, emails and other business activities performed by Ace employees through Bloomberg, carrying out the necessary monitoring in an integrated manner.

The executive also states that the integration of Bloomberg’s services is another differential. As a multimarket macro and equity fund manager, Ace uses a series of Bloomberg tools to monitor local and global assets, macro indicator releases, company balance sheets, in addition to the news.

Geraldo Coelho, Sales Executive for Bloomberg Latin America, said, “Bloomberg Vault helps companies streamline workflows and provide continuous technology optimization.”
