J. Michael Moriarty’s The Return of Hunter S. Thompson: An Untold Story of Nazi Hunting will be displayed by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books. The book festival will be held at 5998 Alcala Park, San Diego, CA, on August 19, 2023.

The San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books is a huge book event that will be presented by the University of San Diego. Authors, avid readers, booksellers, literary influences, and book industry professionals are among the people expected to attend the festival, which is now on its 7th edition. There will be workshops, author panel sessions, book displays, and other exciting activities for attendees.

“The Return of Hunter S. Thompson” follows the title character as he embarks on a mission to pursue Nazi criminals who still roam free and bring them to justice. Thompson is accompanied by his childhood friend, Jordan. Both of them are 100% on board on the mission.

Their Nazi-hunting mission includes getting deeper into the largest food company in Central America as the Nazis are the ones that operate it. Fortunately, Hunter and Jordan receive help from amazing leaders in finance and Nazi hunting, including a famous Rockefeller and the great Simon Wiesenthal.

“The Return of Hunter S. Thompson” is a memorial to the real Nazi hunters who dedicated their lives to finding the war criminals of the Third Reich who escaped justice at the end of World War II.

Author’s Biography
The author J. Michael Moriarty never knew or met Hunter Thompson. Moriarty was learning how to become a reporter while HST was crashing the boards at the Rolling Stone with Fear and Loathing. He went to law school after journalism school, hoping to become an investigative reporter. That didn’t happen, so Moriarty started practicing law in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. Recently, Moriarty has redirected his efforts to writing again. First came the Hemingway stories (Hemingway’s Retreat to Ireland and Hemingway’s Return to England).

Now he is bringing back another legend from journalism and the culture wars. Doctor Gonzo. Hunter Thompson. The author hopes to write a series of books on Hunter Thompson as a young Nazi hunter. The first book is “The Return of Hunter S. Thompson, An Untold Story of Nazi Hunting.” Moriarty believes Thompson would have been a steadfast Nazi hunter if he had the opportunity to pursue that vocation.
