Christina E. Trezevant-McGriff’s “From Small to Tall” Was Displayed at the 2023 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books

Christina E. Trezevant-McGriff’s “From Small to Tall: A self-help book of poems assisting in the journey of growth from childhood to adulthood” was exhibited at the 2023 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. The book festival ran from April 22 to 23, 2023, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA.

The self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet made the book’s display possible. The company showcased Trezevant-McGriff’s book, along with several other titles, at their exhibit, before festivalgoers that included not only book lovers but also authors, booksellers, and publishing and book marketing professionals.

“From Small to Tall” is an anthology of coming-of-age poems by Christina E. Trezevant-McGriff that talks about the journey of the transition from childhood to adulthood. Each poem bears imagery that takes a reader from being a child learning the ABCs to adulthood experiencing the world.

The book takes back the readers to when they were transitioning from a youngster to working adults, discovering freedom and enjoying the experiences in life along with others.

The author aims to tell the readers that they have never been alone in the process of growing up. Growing up is a daunting experience as it offers huge changes in one’s life. It impacts the mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of an individual.

Author’s Biography

Christina E. Trezevant-McGriff was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She obtained her Bachelors’ Degree in Sociology from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. She also earned a Masters’ Degree in Human Services Administration from the University of Baltimore/Coppin State University (CSU) Collaborative Program, Baltimore, Maryland. She taught and enjoyed being a night school Adjunct Professor of Sociology at CSU for over 8 years. She is a certified notary, and mediator, and worked diligently as a Certified Child Advocate and Court Liaison representative in the Baltimore community for 18 years. She has two adult children, two grandsons (who inspired this book—“From Small to Tall”), and is currently living in the Baltimore surrounding area. She enjoys learning new things, the Arts, dining out, and traveling.

Christina enjoys writing poems she committed herself to writing and compiling a series of poems focusing on the journey of growing up from a small tyke to a tall adult.
