Nelson Spinetti’s Complete Guide on Baby-Feeding Basics Exhibited at the L.A. Times Festival of Books 2023

Nelson Spinetti is a Venezuelan who comes from a family of dedicated healthcare professionals. After 20 years of working as a pediatric gastroenterologist, he decided to compile the best practices for infant feeding in the hopes that it will help new parents understand the basics. His informative book, “Complete Guide for Infant Feeding,” was even exhibited at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

“99% of what mothers really need is proper education, and this education is the key to ensuring that infant-feeding is easy and wonderful.”

When it comes to healthcare education, the 2023 L.A. Times Festival of Books included a lot of new materials that taught the latest best practices published by experts.

Among these is Dr. Nelson Spinetti, who recently published “Complete Guide for Infant Feeding: Grow Healthily and Happily.” With the help of ReadersMagnet, a book marketing and self-publishing company, Dr. Spinetti secured an exhibit spot for it at the book festival.

“Complete Guide for Infant Feeding” is a compilation of Dr. Spinetti’s expertise after 20 years of administering to babies experiencing reflux, colic, milk protein allergy, and other feeding difficulties. For despite improvements in medical science, many new parents remain anxious about proper care of their children.

The rise of medical misinformation as well as heavy reliance on medication has also not helped (and in some cases, it has made the problem worse).

Dr. Spinetti’s book aims to restore a back-to-basics approach to infant feeding by putting the most essential information in one book. This includes a self-assessment of a parent’s own knowledge of infant feeding, along with understanding its most important rules. There is even a guide for creating a personalized feeding schedule.

Born in Venezuela, Spinetti comes from a family of dedicated healthcare professionals. His father was an adult gastroenterologist who exposed him very early to the field that would eventually become his own area of expertise. He graduated from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, started a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at LSU, then underwent more training at Tulane University.

Through many years in clinics, hospitals, nurseries, and pediatric ICUs, he has made patient education a primary focus and attributes his success to it. And with his book, he hopes to serve more parents still anxious about how to properly care for their children.
