Dr. Jacques LaFrance’s Book, Combining 50 Accounts of Heaven, Shares Its Vision at the L.A. Times Festival of Books 2023

There were plenty of books on religion and the paranormal that enjoyed the exhibit spotlight during the 2023 L.A. Times Festival of Books. Among them are books that could have only been made after many years of researching, interviewing, and painstaking assembly of all the data.

That is certainly one way to describe Dr. Jacques LaFrance’s book “Heaven Is Beyond Imagination: The music, beauty, waters, flowers, joy, peace, love, relationships, and more, described by fifty published eyewitnesses.”

The 50 eyewitnesses are a combination of direct encounters, near-death experiences, angelic visitations, and more. Based on the details that his authors provided, Dr. LaFrance paints a picture of a Christian heaven that includes biomes and ecosystems as much as golden mansions. The first chapter of the book describes the various means that souls enter paradise (from beams of light to space-time tunnels).

Naturally, “Heaven Is Beyond Imagination” includes several touching encounters of some authors with departed loved ones and even meetings with Jesus Himself.

Dr. LaFrance has been working on the book for the last few years. He initially gathered 18 eyewitness accounts. But to help sell the book better, he added more accounts, up to fifty in the current edition. These added more to the big picture he paints in his book.

Author Bio
Dr. LaFrance’s life consisted of a triple thread: science, having taught computer science for 27 years before retiring, nature study as an amateur naturalist, and a follower of Jesus. Combining these has led to several studies of how science actually confirms the Creator of the universe and life (though none of these have led to published materials). He has also had several experiences dealing with forgiveness that have led to a document and presentation that has blessed many people, especially in his church. His only published books are “A Composite Portrait of Heaven,” its successor “Heaven Is Amazing!,” and the current “Heaven Is Beyond Imagination.”

These books take published eyewitness accounts of heaven and synthesize them into a whole more complete experience of what heaven is like. The first was based on eighteen testimonies, the second on thirty-four, and the current on fifty plus nineteen eyewitnesses of hell. For him, God is amazing and wonderful and the more people live in close harmony with Him, the more wonderful their lives are. The goal of his writing is to share the experiences and insight of eyewitnesses to what God in His amazing love has prepared for us to enable people to live closer to Him, enjoy Him more, know how much they can trust Him, and live in accord with what life here is all about, knowing the glorious and love-filled future that awaits everyone.
