Corporate credit portfolio of Ukrgasbank has grown to over UAH 1.7 billion

In 2006, the Bank’s crediting policy was aimed at increasing the credit portfolio taking into account the market profitability level and acceptable credit risks. Therefore, during the year, Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC has considerably strengthened its position on the corporate crediting market. In 2006, the corporate credit portfolio increased almost by 50% and as of January 1, 2007 amounted to over UAH 1.5 billion.
Despite rather low economic activities of Ukrainian business at the beginning of the year, the number of credits granted by Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC did not decrease and the Bank has considerably raised its corporate credit portfolio. Due to the fact that since the beginning of the year the Bank has implemented a number of innovative ideas in crediting (in particular, improved car loan programs), already in the first two months the corporate credit portfolio of Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC has increased by over UAH 200 million and has grown to over UAH 1.7 billion, being further on differentiated as to the terms and branches.
“In 2007, the Bank has even more ambitious plans, - noted Sergey Karpov, Head of Corporate Banking of Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC – to increase the credit portfolio by 1.5 times by means of developing and implementing the programs, which will meet the needs of particular client segments”.

The Bank was founded in 1993. Today, Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC belongs to a group of large banks. Its net assets as of January 1, 2007 amounted to UAH 4,460.8 million, the balance-sheet capital amounted to UAH 4,76.7 million, and the credit portfolio amounted to UAH 2,164.45 million.
The Bank’s profit in 2006 was UAH 30.8 million.
