Darcele Cole-Robinson Shows the Power of Inspiration at the 2023 London Book Fair with “Kaygan’s Adventures”

Darcele Cole-Robinson’s “Kaygan’s Adventures: Save Silly Millie!” was one of the insightful and entertaining books exhibited by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 London Book Fair. The book trade fair occurred at Olympia London, London, UK, last April 18-20, 2023.

“Kaygan’s Adventures: Save Silly Millie!” is a children’s book that follows Kaygan, whose dog passed away. Her adventure involves coping with the death of her best friend as part of growing up.

Death is an inevitable event in the life of all. It marks the end of a time of living on the face of the planet, but some believe that it’s beginning to live on the other plane beyond. Sometimes, the job of the adults is to help the children realize that everything has its end and that their loved ones cannot come back once their clock stops ticking.

The children’s book is a medium for children to cope with the death of a friend. The author got the inspiration for the book from her granddaughter, whose dog died. She uses her words and the featured illustrations to help kids through painful moments. She designed this book to have an open moment between the parent and child as children might open up about their feelings toward the event.

“Kaygan’s Adventures: Save Silly Millie!” does not only guide the children in coping with the painful situation but also gives the parents the idea of listening to their children, especially when they talk about trauma or difficult emotional situations.

Author’s Biography

Darcele Marie Cole-Robinson, AAS. BSW, lives in Flint Michigan. She is a graduate of Flint Northern High School (Vikings!) Class of 1984 and she has graduated with her BSW from the University of Michigan-Flint (Go Blue!). She recently graduated at the University of Kentucky for her Master in Social Work and Clinicals.

Darcele has been married for 30 years to her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Robinson Sr., and they have three children: 2 boys, Kenneth 11, Kaleb and a daughter Khyra.

Darcele has spontaneously worked in the community with her nonprofit, Donations with Love Foundation, which was established in 2015. During the year, they have several workshops and events: Safe Medication, Building the Bloks, Hoodies for the Homeless, Jamin the jammas, and Holiday Drive. She loves to read, travel, go shopping, and online. She also has a business called, Travel with The Robinson LLC, where she takes individuals on trips, to museums, casinos, and shopping trips. Darcele loves to read, shop till she drops, and travel.

Her passion to write this second debut book of hers so her granddaughter, Kaygan Melena Tyce, and her Goddaughters, Ariyah Nicholson and Amariana Dantzler, and other children will read an adventures book about “Surprise at 5.”

Kaygan’s Adventures will be a series and more books will be available.
