Bloomberg Launches Beijing Stock Exchange Real-time Pricing Data

Beijing  – WEBWIRE

Bloomberg today announced that real-time pricing data from Beijing Stock Exchange (“BSE”) is now available on the Bloomberg Terminal. Bloomberg users can access the real-time pricing data of the securities and indices listed on BSE through exchange code “JC” on the Bloomberg Terminal.

Officially opened in November 2021, BSE has become an important platform for China to advance capital market reform and better serve the financing and development of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). According to the exchange, about 200 companies are listed on BSE as at the end of May 2023. The number of qualified investors on BSE has exceeded five million.

This growth has been further accentuated with the BSE launch of securities lending and market-making businesses earlier this year. Foreign investors are able to trade stocks listed on BSE through the Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (QFIIs) or RMB Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (RQFIIs) programs.

Long Haiyang, Director of BSE Executive Office, said: “By collaborating with Bloomberg, we can offer diverse channels for global investors to access BSE’s real-time data to facilitate their investment. As part of our role in promoting high-level opening up of the capital markets, BSE will continue to improve its market functionality and systems, while expanding international cooperation to support international investors as they invest in China to share the benefits of innovative development.”

David Tamburelli, Global Head of Content Acquisition at Bloomberg said: “BSE is an important component of the Chinese financial markets, and has made remarkable progress bringing transparency to the market by increasing the number of listed companies and supporting data since its launch. We are committed to the development of the capital markets in China and continue to see increased demand for BSE data. We are honored to collaborate with the BSE as an international provider of their real-time data, giving global investors the access and visibility they need to efficiently invest in China.”

The BSE real-time pricing data has been available on the Bloomberg Terminal since June 1, 2023.
