Debra D. Greer’s Haunting Book About Generational Curses Is Exhibited at the L.A. Times Festival of Books
Debra D. Greer is one of a handful of present-day Christians who claim to have had close encounters with the demonic. This year, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, countless publications were exhibited at the L.A. Times Festival of Books 2023. Among them even included several outliers that discussed the dark, disturbing realm of the paranormal. This was the subject of Debra D. Greer’s book, “A Woman in Need Breaking Free from Generational Curses and Witchcraft.”
The book details a very painful and disturbing documentation of Greer’s troubled childhood and family tree. From her research, Greer claims that the occult rituals of her West African ancestors drew in the dark energy of Satan and manifested in a curse that struck every woman in her family line.
This energy allegedly gained strength during the sexual revolution and was worsened by the culture where she lived. The signs of these were many, according to her perspective, such as when her mother went and embraced an alternative lifestyle with a very abusive girlfriend.
Yet like many who struggled against Satanic powers, she is also a firm believer in Christianity. It started when she found comfort in the voice of a gospel singer when she felt spiritually attacked. Despite the dark grip her family’s curse had on her, she sought the “saving blood of Jesus” to finally break it.
Overall, it is a book that combines research into the paranormal, abuse in the family history, and a motivational message of the Christian faith. Greer hopes that exhibiting her testimony will both create awareness of spiritual realities as well as evangelize the hearts of anyone willing to hear her truth.
