With the combination of simple storytelling, number facts and colorful illustrations, “Frances and Millie Play in the Numbers Park” is a great resource to help teachers and parents bring students up to speed on the basics of mathematics.

Richard Bowman’s “Frances and Millie Play in the Numbers Park” was part of the two events’ book fairs, giving the participants a chance to see up-close this delightful and colorful math learning book for kids. The book depicts the friendship of two young girls from two different cultures, bonding and having fun over at Numbers Park. They would go to this local park, climb, and play on large numbers used as sculptures.

The book is designed as an easy-to-learn educational resource material where children can learn to connect the symbols and words for numbers and learn the basics of mathematics and addition by counting items. The illustrations are visually appealing, can easily captivate the kids’ attention, and get them excited to learn math.

Dr. Richard L. Bowman has been involved in education and writing for most of his life. Aside from writing, he is also a semi-professional photographer and an illustration artist. Dr. Bowman designed “Frances and Millie Play in the Numbers Park” to combine simple storytelling, number facts, and colorful illustrations to aid teachers and parents in bringing students up to speed on the basics of mathematics.
