“The Queen Within” by Lauren D. Pitts was Displayed at the 2023 London Book Fair

Lauren D. Pitts inspires readers with her book “The Queen Within: Becoming the Woman God Intended” as it was exhibited at the 2023 London Book Fair, which was held at Olympia London, London, UK, last April 18-20, 2023. The book exhibit was made possible by the self-publishing and book marketing company, ReadersMagnet.

“The Queen Within” talks about Lauren’s life challenges and turning these challenges into opportunities to move forward. It focuses on getting the right help when everything else is bringing her down. Leaning onto the power of the Word of God can help one process through hardships along with a strong support group. With her learning, she gains control of her life and activates the “queen within.”

Growing up, Lauren received her spiritual foundation from her grandparents, parents and other family members that taught her the importance of having a relationship with God and asking for forgiveness of her own sins. She engaged in several behaviors deemed sinful in nature (promiscuity, deceitfulness, manipulation, pridefulness and others). So, she started becoming actively involved in the church, increased her faith and obedience, and looked to God for deliverance from the many self-destructive behaviors she was involved in.

Learning from her mistakes and leaning on God for help, Lauren continued to transform and made a commitment to turn the adversities of her life into opportunities for others, thus opening doors for her to be an inspirational figure. Through this book, she provides information on how one could escape the challenges that could corrode one’s dignity.

The author also points out that leaning on God and the scriptures allowed her to see the way clearly. She got back on track and dared to dream again. She uses her voice to inspire those that have been in the dark with the hope that she will help them see the light, giving them the opportunity and courage to pursue greater self-awareness and more success.

Dr. Pitts earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management and a master’s degree in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy each from Drexel University. She earned a bachelor’s in Organizational Management from HBCU Edward Waters College and an associate degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Johnson & Wales University. Dr. Pitts has received numerous awards and recognition for her work in the areas of clinical excellence, empowerment, education, community activism, social justice, and equality. Dr. Pitts is the host of “HOUSE TALK Pregame” where the show’s focus is on having hard conversations on topics that are relevant to black and brown communities globally including HBCU families, scholar, and professional athletes and their families. HT Pregame provides powerful, albeit raw life, sports, and mental health information that athletes and their families need to make well-informed athletic and life-transforming decisions.
