Daniel L. French’s “Channels of Delight” was displayed at the 2023 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books by the self-publishing and marketing company, ReadersMagnet. The event was hosted by the University of Southern California last April 22-23, 2023.

“Channels of Delight” is a book that features poems that contradict each other. The book is true to its title. The readers are given the opportunity to have their side of the story as they are given the contradicting forms or “channels” of literature on the page.

The analogies of the different write-ups make it more entertaining for a reader to engage themselves in the art form. The author presents a poem or an essay so that a reader can get a glimpse of life, then the next poem or essay will contradict the idea of the first one. With this, readers can pick a side on which they would agree. They are given an opportunity to “turn the knob” as they surf through the poetry and essays.

“Channels of Delight” explores different emotions and storylines that would let the readers engaged. The readers would have the freedom to choose if they prefer the one that is a tear-jerker or the one with a funny day-in-a-life experience.

The topics of the write-ups vary from golf metaphors to a Vietnam War veteran to moments with family to greeting and leaving somebody. The author not only provides life lessons in each write-up, but he is also educating writers on writing style.

Readers can get a copy of Daniel L. French’s “Channels of Delight” on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
