“God is so incredibly creative in making every place in the world able to compensate for its own peculiarities.” Virginia Stewart Metzler

Virginia Stewart Metzler’s “Our God Still Speaks: Real-life Stories of How God Answers Prayers” was displayed by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. The literary festival took place at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, last April 22-23, 2023.

“Our God Still Speaks” tells about Virginia’s and her husband’s mission in Liberia. The book reveals how God spoke clearly to the author and her husband throughout their missionary journey.

Virginia and Tommy were still young when they were sent on the mission to teach the Word of God to West African children. During their missionary journey, they met people with different stories to tell as they shared the Word of God. They learned and experienced the things they would take with them in their future endeavor as missionaries.

“Our God Still Speaks” is Virginia’s “stack of stones,” based on the Book of Joshua, which tells how Joshua used a pile of stones to commemorate God’s glory. The book is not only a record of the author’s and her husband’s experiences but also an affirmation of a God who still speaks as their prayers were answered and their mission was fulfilled. The book abounds with plenty of Scriptures, which inspire readers – future missionaries among them - and remind them that God still speaks.

Be inspired by the missionary efforts and enduring faith of Virginia Stewart Metzler and her husband. Get a copy of “Our God Still Speaks: Real-life Stories of How God Answers Prayers” on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
