Jimmy Mulzet’s memoir “Facing the Challenge, Beating the Odds: The Jimmy Mulzet Story” was last exhibited by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 London Book Fair. The book trade fair took place last April 18-20, 2023, at Olympia London, London, UK.

“Facing the Challenge, Beating the Odds” tells the life, challenges, and triumph of Jimmy Mulzet, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at six months of age. Before his first birthday, he almost died. Growing up, Jimmy faced different struggles, such as going to school. He thought that he could never walk. These difficulties were not easy for him and his family.

Through his will, perseverance, and faith in Jesus Christ, he was able to walk, participate in the New York City Marathon, and even climb the stairs to the top of the Empire State Building. Jimmy even had the chance to meet Pope Saint John Paul II. Jimmy survived all his illnesses with the help of God and his mother and father.

“Facing the Challenge, Beating the Odds” aims to inspire people with and without disabilities. Jimmy encourages everyone to do as much for themselves as he did. He wants to give them an example of what he was able to achieve living on his own with the disability.

He thanks his parents Hazel and Frank Mulzet for the loving support they gave him. Jimmy states that God gave him wonderful parents. His parent brought him up to be a smart young man. They taught him to pray and ask God to help him achieve his goals each day. He says God helps those who help themselves.
