Amplegest Adopts Bloomberg’s Global Suite of Equity Indices for Mutual Funds Benchmarking

WEBWIRE

Bloomberg today announced that Amplegest, a Paris-based investment management firm, has adopted Bloomberg’s Equity index offerings to utilize as benchmarks for the firm’s flagship investment funds. The indices will be used for risk management and performance benchmarking.

“Bloomberg Indices previously worked with us to create a custom index and it was a natural choice for us to choose Bloomberg’s equity indices for our funds suite. With this adoption we can source from a single provider to provide greater transparency on the Bloomberg Terminal, allowing us to best construct and manage our portfolios,” said Gilles Constantini, Head of Equity Management at Amplegest.

Bloomberg’s global equity indices offering continues to grow, covering over 99% of the available free-float market cap in 49 developed and emerging countries. The set of indices also includes traditional growth and value style benchmarks for the US domestic market, as well as sector, thematic and sustainable indices. In addition, Bloomberg publishes thousands of bespoke benchmarks and actively works as a consultant to clients to create customized indices.

“It’s been our pleasure to work with and grow our relationship with the Amplegest team to offer them both custom and standard equity indices that align with their investment goals. We’re proud to be the chosen benchmark provider for their flagship equity funds,” said Erik Oscar Rotander, Head of EMEA Index Sales and Relationship Management, Bloomberg.

Bloomberg offers a full spectrum of multi-asset index offerings for investors with standard and alt-weighted asset-allocation benchmarks now able to combine equity, fixed income, FX, commodities, and crypto. The index team and experts across Bloomberg collaborate to produce and maintain strategic benchmarks for the market through access to an unparalleled breadth of trusted data, reliable technology and best-in-class research teams.
