Ridge Ventures Partner Akriti Dokania to Speak at Emerging Tech Venture Summit

Today, early-stage venture capital firm Ridge Ventures announced that Partner Akriti Dokania will speak at the Emerging Tech Venture Summit on May 11th. Dokania will speak alongside other investors on a panel entitled, "Fundable Deals: Making VCs Sit Up and Take Notice.” Prior to the panel presentation, Dokania will judge multiple rounds of startup pitches and provide feedback to founders.

The Emerging Tech Venture Summit is a two-day conference that introduces and explores the latest tech innovations and solutions. The event is put together by youngStartup Ventures, an organization whose nationwide conferences attract hundreds of startups, investors, and corporate professionals.

“I’m excited to speak and judge at the Emerging Tech Venture Summit. It’s a challenging time for startups, but founders might be one piece of feedback away from righting the ship,” said Dokania. “Being an ex-founder myself, I know all too well the ups and downs of building an early-stage business. Before joining Ridge in May 2021, Dokania spent four years at Octopus Ventures, investing in early-stage B2B and deep tech startups such as LifeScore (backed by Warner Music Group), vHive, ThoughtRiver, and more. She also helped exit companies like UltraSoC (acquired by Siemens) and BehavioSec (acquired by LexisNexis).

Earlier in her career, Dokania worked as a software engineer at Amazon Web Services and a product manager at Microsoft. She later co-founded CoderBhai, a product development platform, and invested with Forward Partners while finishing her MBA at London Business School.

The Emerging Tech Venture Summit starts on May 10th and ends on May 11th. The event will be held at the San Jose McEnergy Convention Center in San Jose, CA. Tickets, which include access to panels, workshops, and startup pitches, can be purchased here.
