Virginia Stewart Metzler’s Inspiring Book on God’s Faithfulness Joined the 2023 LibLearnX Book Display

Virginia Stewart Metzler’s spiritual book “Our God Still Speaks” was exhibited by self-publishing company ReadersMagnet at the recently concluded LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience (LLX) 2023 last January 27-30, 2023. The event was held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, and was considered the most significant library event ever had in the state.

Formerly called American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting, the LibLearnX witnessed hundreds of guests coming from the library sector, the academe, and the general public, joining and showing support for the advancement of the library industry. The library conference featured various interactive programs and workshops, award ceremonies, and speaking engagements from some of the biggest names in the library industry. Participants also got to interact and network with other members, primarily discussing the future of libraries and their communities.

Virginia Stewart Metzler’s “Our God Still Speaks” joined other notable published works exhibited at the LibLearnX Marketplace. Some of the library’s latest services and innovative technologies were also displayed.

“Our God Still Speaks” is an inspiring narration of Virginia Stewart Metzler’s encounter with God, attesting that God does exist and continues to answer peoples’ prayers. The author used as an example the story in the Old Testament on how God led the Israelites across the Jordan River. Joshua, to honor God, stacked up stones as a reminder of God’s faithfulness to the Israelites.

Author Bio

Virginia Stewart Metzler was born in Houston, Texas, went to high school there, and fell in love with John Thomas Barnett Jr. (better known as Tommy). They married and six weeks later moved to Liberia, West Africa, in June of 1957. Tommy was a pilot for R. G. LeTourneau’s mission, Tournata. They had lived there for two years when Tommy was killed in a plane crash. Afterward, she moved back to Texas with her two small children, Vicki, age two, and Randy, age eight months.
