Rosemary Ganis’ Charming, Colorful Children’s Book On Comparisons to Hit Global Exhibits

Many children’s books teach a wide range of important lessons from basic science to good behavior. However, even books with simpler lessons can be very helpful tools for parents and teachers.

Rosemary Ganis is one new children’s book author who is certainly happy to provide. Her book “Who Would You Rather Be?” shares a series of rhymes while showing easy examples of comparisons.

Each section starts with a simple question about which kind of animal the reader would like to be. Every animal is described with clever, rhyming stanzas meant to be understood as comparable pairs. For instance, there’s the small spider high up on the tree and the big whale under the sea.

“Who Would You Rather Be?” is structured in a way that is very easy to read along with little kids and very fun to recite as they understand what comparisons are. There is a wide variety of different pairs that are certain to engage the minds of young readers. Each illustration is also cutely illustrated by the talented hand of John Duff and painted with the watercolor style of Myrna Salagub.

Ganis has long enjoyed writing children’s stories as a hobby. She holds a master’s degree in speech and language pathology, making her a dab hand in teaching kids the finer points of language. Books that teach even simple lessons on the subject are always in high demand due to the growing need for quality children’s literature. By publishing this book, she hopes to do her part.

Rosemary Ganis, born March 22, 1933, grew up in Salt Lake City Utah. She received her BA from the University of Utah and later received her Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology from Teacher’s College Columbia University New York City. Rosemary’s hobbies include pottery, dance and writing children’s stories. Rosemary’s beloved husband Bernie passed away in 2020 and she currently lives in Westchester, New York near her twin sons John, David, their wives and her five grandchildren.
