Dr. Nelson Spinetti graduated as a pediatrician at the Austin Pediatric Education program in Austin, Texas. Following in the footsteps of his father, a gastroenterologist in Venezuela, he decided to go to New Orleans, where he graduated as a pediatric gastroenterologist from Louisiana State University and the Health Science Center.

Soon after graduation, he moved to the Rio Grande Valley Area and has been in practice since then. Dr. Spinetti is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Association of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition; he serves on different sub-specialty committees in various hospitals. He is affiliated with many hospitals in the area, like Edinburg Children’s Hospital, McAllen Medical Center, Rio Grande Regional Hospital, Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance, and Mission Regional Hospital.
