Christian fictions positively illustrate and describe a Christian worldview through its plot, characters, and themes. These works do not have to involve an actual event or character in the history of the Bible, yet reading them allows the reader to experience beauty and empathy. The Christian novel has evolved into a new genre, yet it has continued to delight readers worldwide regardless of one’s religious point of view.

“The Way of The Carpenter,” a Christian fiction by George Raymond Whitley, serves a similar purpose to famous Bible stories familiar to many. Bible stories are excellent reading materials for readers of all ages. It guides young readers to become good adults and reminds older readers of God’s boundless love.

George Raymond Whitley’s book is set in 26 A.D. Jerusalem. It tells the tale of a young boy named Jacob who lives with his parents Jaron and Miriam and his sister Adara. The family lives in the City of David. One of the main challenges within the story is the prevalence of Roman governance as its power touches the spiritual lives of residents.

Jacob, his relatives, and his rabbi mentor will encounter the Son of God through His disciples and followers as the book’s plot thickens. The experience prompts the young protagonist to learn more from the Torah, leading him to an overwhelming question. Should Jacob follow the path of his forefathers, or should he follow this new path described by the Son of God?

Whitley’s book will make its readers reflect on their spiritual lives and teach them that the way of the one true God is filled with endless love. Secure a copy of “The Way of The Carpenter,” now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
