Music has the power to uplift, heal, and transform lives. Now, with the groundbreaking educational book “Teaching Music to Children on the Autistic Spectrum” by Elaine Fauria, music educators, caregivers, and parents have an essential resource to help them engage with children on the autistic spectrum through the universal language of music.

This comprehensive guidebook offers a musical progression from K-12, focusing on K-2 children on the spectrum, and demonstrates the value of music education for children with autism. Whether a person is a seasoned music teacher or just starting out, this book provides expert advice on where to begin with students on the spectrum and ways to engage them musically.

The book also includes a resource list and tips for approaching music education for children with autism, so readers don’t need to be licensed, credentialed music teachers to benefit from this powerful resource.

“If you know someone who has a child on the spectrum, you must give them a copy of this book,” said Fauria. “It’s an invaluable tool for anyone who is a caretaker, relative, or friend of a child, or the parents of a child on the spectrum.”

Author Elaine Fauria, who survived breast cancer in 2022, was driven to complete her book. She knew she had to take action and pursue her passion for music education now rather than wait until retirement.
