Gloria J. Reeves Published a Poetry Book “I’m Afraid Of…” Perfect For Young Readers

The poetry book “I’m Afraid Of…” by Gloria J. Reeves was displayed by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience last January 27-30, 2023, at New Orleans N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Everyone has something they are afraid of. The book “I’m Afraid Of…” tells the story of a young girl expressing her dilemma with the things she hates. The little girl hates anything that crawls, creeps, or flies.

She stated in the poem: “I’m afraid of sitting on the ground, because I know there are bugs around. I’m afraid of flies that fly around, little ants on the ground.”

Gloria J. Reeves grew up in the small town of Newbern, Alabama. She graduated from West Side High School in Marion, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and her Master’s degree in Library Science from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama. Gloria served as a Media Specialist in the Alabama school system for 34 years. She has three children and two grandchildren.
