The Focus of the Venice Production Bridge will be dedicated to Germany and Quebec

This year’s Focus of the VPB (August 31 – September 5) will highlight Germany and Quebec through projects with their filmmakers and producers.



Germany and Quebec will be this year’s Focus of the Venice Production Bridge, which will be held from August 31st to September 5th, during the 80th Venice International Film Festival (August 30th – September 9th), organized by La Biennale di Venezia.
Focus on Germany is supported by German Films, Focus on Quebec is supported by SODEC.

After successfully launching the Focus in 2021 with the Netherlands, in 2022 we took an in-depth look at film production in France and Taipei.  Now for a third year, the annual Venice Production Bridge Focus will further highlight Germany and Quebec through projects with their filmmakers and producers at the Venice Gap-Financing Market, publishers with their recent publications available for adaptation at the Book Adaptation Rights Market, works-in-progress co-productions at Final Cut in Venice, Streamers and Immersive projects and VR/XR/AR creatives, VFX and post-production companies conneceted to Immersive content.

The 2023 Focus of the Venice Production Bridge will give a 360-degree look at the state of the Industry and filmmaking community will be given through a series of dedicated panels, meetings and networking events and by the attendance of a large delegation of  German and Quebec professionals and decision makers (public funds, festivals, producers, Immersive experts, private financial institutions, sales agents and distributors...).

The full programme of the Venice Production Bridge will be announced in the coming months. The Venice Production Bridge is co-financed by the European Commission’s MEDIA Fund.
