In March 2013, Trish Buscemi suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. She went from quick-witted to “gee, what day and time is it?” and that was all she could remember. Through her recovery and rehabilitation (which is ongoing), Trish has improved so much that she helps facilitate a brain injury support group in her community, where she lives in Longview, Texas. It’s the first of its kind in her community.

Trish is passionate about getting the word out on the actual anatomy of the brain, its functions, and how that knowledge was crucial in her rehabilitation and the tremendous help it afforded her caregivers. Trish lives on Lake O’ the Pines with her husband, Ernie, their little dog Katie, Liddle Kat, and two cute kitties.
